Office Reality TV Bloggers Gets to Enjoy SOFriendly Services

The Office Reality TV's vision of an open and effective infocomm work environment for bloggers takes another step towards fruition as the SOFriendly – the largest Office Reality TV infocomm project in scope and scale – has started rolling out services to the first batch of teams. Since July 2009, the bloggers in these teams are enjoying working in a flexible environment that promotes communication, collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Teams included in the first batch are the Guru Team, Khim Khim Team, Velvet Team and Do-man Team.

Speaking at the launch of the SOFriendly Showcase today, Mr Ah Jek, Head of the Office Reality TV Techie Service, cited that the SOFriendly Programme calls for a collaborative and consultative effort and support from the Whole-of-Office Reality TV. "Infocomm will continue to be a key enabler for the teams, and the SOFriendly Programme is another step towards Freedom. The implementation of this ambitious project indeed marks another significant chapter in the history of Office Reality TV’s infocomm journey," said Mr Jek.

Commenting on the SOFriendly implementation, Dr Ng Hung Hee, Deputy Secretary (Stage Performance), Velvet Team, said, "I am happy that SOFriendly has commenced deployment. The SOFriendly Programme is a major undertaking that will bring about many benefits for us. SOFriendly is conceived to make bloggers more effective and less frustrating in their work. It is also a challenging project to implement due to the magnitude of the project, involving over 60 man-hours R&D efforts, testing and servicing across 4 teams at just 1 location. I love SOF, its SOFriendly!"

CPL(NS) Chao Ah Beng, Chief Blogger of Office Reality TV, said, "The SOFriendly Programme will foster a work environment that encourages innovative use of infocomm in the restricted environment. It will also enable greater access to applications in light of the latest limitations imposed by AiAssDee and rectifications on technological misconfigurations. With the SOFriendly Showcase, bloggers can get to experience the possibilities to come, even as we roll out SOFriendly to the teams."
